What a Mother Means
A mother is love, comfort or joy
She’s a stand-in friend to talk about boys
She’s a sister with whom you share a great bond
A mother is there to cheer you on
In every play, recital, game or show
A mother is there, usually front row
Like a postman: rain, sleet or snow she’ll arrive
And win or lose she’ll congratulate you with love in her eyes
A mother is a guide who shows you the way
She’ll allow you to make mistakes because she knows there will come a day
When you’ll need advice and come straight to her
Hoping that she can make it all better
She gives wisdom without end
Despite all your bluster
A mother is always there
How could you not love her.
